
The J C Wellness Story
Hi There! We are Jennifer and Jason Coyne. We met through a mutual friend and a love of CrossFit. Our first few dates included some of each other's favorite activities: he took her on a Harley ride and she took him to a yoga class. We had both been through some hard times and weren't sure we would ever want to get married again, but through getting to know each other we realized that we were both passionate about nature, spirituality, good food, and healthy living - it was a match made in heaven! As our relationship has grown we've learned how to navigate many of life's challenges together. J C Wellness was born out of our desire to help others live fun, happy, healthy lives that they can enjoy with the ones they love. We each bring our own style and areas of expertise to our services which gives us the ability to meet the needs of a wide range of clients.
I'm Jennifer. I grew up in the Palm Springs, California area as the youngest in a family of 6 that loved the outdoors, camping, and road trips. After being "effortlessly healthy" for so many years, I was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune issues in my 30s and 40s. I knew I needed to make some changes to reduce stress and toxins in my life. Eventually this lead me to leave my career as a public school special education teacher in order to heal myself and pursue happiness. Along my journey I have earned certifications in Holistic Wellness Coaching and Mind-Body Practices, 200-Hour Yoga Instruction, Trauma Informed Yoga, and Guided Meditation (Yoga Nidra). I also immersed myself in the study of Human Design as a way to learn more about how to live a more personally authentic life. My services are designed to help you get to know yourself better, be kind to your body, participate in your own healing, and reduce stress.
I'm Jason. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania, served in the Army (stationed in Germany), and ended up in California by way of some pretty crazy adventures. A big part of my healing journey includes living a clean and sober life since 2005. I've learned that willingness, consistency, and faith can turn anyone's life around. I keep myself balanced by working out 5 days a week, playing outside whenever possible, enjoying healthy delicious home-cooked meals, and always learning something new. I have a CrossFit Level 2 certification, am a coaching member of USA Weightlifting, and am a Certified Precision Nutrition Coach. I have more than 10 years experience as a personal trainer and have worked with clients of all abilities including those with multiple sclerosis and other degenerative diseases. I believe in helping my clients achieve total wellness that takes the whole person into consideration.
